Its different versions reflect the different artistic thinking and value orientation of Shen Congwen and his editors.As a representative of Western Hunan novels,this novel presents the writer's unique novel concepts and writing rules.For him,flat writing is a creating orientation and a key return of writing styles.The artistic beauty of A Tradedy of Ahei and Shen Congwen's works is that the works are structured on the facts of life rather than the logic,on the richness and originality of life itself rather than the cause and effects.The concepts of stylistic novels or lyric novels are insufficient to summarize the stylistic features of Shen Congwen's works.Shen Congwen puts little emphasis on creating characters with rich individuality. Instead,he creates the freehand characteristics in a unique way.Meanwhile,the special structure in his works also brings new aesthetic features of modern novels.
